About the SSDV InteragencyFormed in 2001, the Same Sex Domestic Violence Interagency consists of a number of non-Government and Government agencies coming together with the aim of creating a collaborative response to the issues surrounding SSDV. The Interagency has a broad membership and has met consistently for the last 4 years. Previous Interagency meetings have included: July 2005Scott Berry, Director, Client Services, ACON presented on ACON's Client Services response to SSDV including the ACON Homelessness and SSDV report. Followed by, David Toolan, Senior Programs Officer (Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Issues), Crime Management Faculty, NSW Police, presented on Standard Operatinig Procedures in relation to SSDV incidents.
"Lesbian Domestic Violence: Service or Silence?"May 2005Clair Colquhoun (UNSW) presented research on the response of service providers to domestic violence in lesbain relationships.
"Victim/perpetrator complexities when working with SSDV"November 2004Gwen Cosier, DV Policy Analyst from teh Department of Health presented on the philosophical underpinning of the NSW Health Domestic Violebce Policy, followed by two counsellors who provided a clinical perspective, outlining the practice imlications of the policy in an SSDV perspective.
